MINI BUILDINGS

Mini Buildings are a versatile range of small buildings ideally suited to applications such as External Household Stores, Beach Huts, Kiosks, Gate Offices, Utility Rooms, Toilet Blocks etc.

Available in five standard sizes, all with an eaves height of 2.134m (7' 0"), Mini Buildings can be constructed with the door located in any elevation and in multiple, mixed multiple and compartment format. In each instance the 2.184m (7' 2") external dimension is constant.

Specification

Walls

Interlocking precast concrete panels with an applied aggregate finish externally. Manufactured to CP116 with a steel reinforcement to BS4449, these panels are non-combustible and satisfy the structural integrity and flame penetration requirements of BS476 Part 1 1953 for half an hour. Connecting bolts and other fittings and rust resistant with external bolt heads concealed and the joints between panels sealed with mastic.

Finishes

Applied aggregate finish in a choice of 'Sparlite', 'Whitespar', 'Brownstone' or 'Buff Quartz' as standard.

Roof

Fibre cement sheeting in 6 inch profile supported by timber or steel purlins and fixed with rust resistant fixings. Roof trimmed with brown vinyl coated galvanised steel fascias, complete with flashings. A solid roof is available for contract work, if required, details available on request.

Notes: (1) The internal length for each size of building is 2.032m (6' 8").
(2) For external dimensions add 152mm (6") to the internal width and length dimensions given above.

Doors

All doors are supplied left hand hung, opening outward.

The standard door is galvanised steel, with vertical swaging, complete with frame, lock and handle, and is supplied ready primed. Size1.981m high x 963mm wide (6' 6" x 3' 2") overall.

For the more prestigious site we can provide a Western Red Cedarwood door, part glazed, framed, ledged and braced with shiplap boarding. Supplied with lock, handle and glass. Size 1.981m high x 813mm wide (6' 6" x 2' 8") overall.

Optional Accessories

WINDOWS: White polyester coated aluminium framed windows with opening fanlight. Factory glazed with clear glass. Overall size 851mm high x 813mm wide (2' 9½" x 2' 8").
RAINWATER GUTTERING: Black vinyl half round rainwater goods are available for all Mini Buildings.
SHELF BRACKETS: Specially designed to fix to the panel flange these brackets are ideal as shelf supports or hangers. Supplied in packs of six, complete with fixing bolts, nuts and washers.

CONSTRUCTION: A nationwide construction service is available using company trained teams.

Site Preparation

The only foundation normally required is a flat and level concrete base 102mm (4") thick on a suitable hardcore.

Specification Update

Primed Galvanised steel doors vertically profile with security Eurolocks should soon be available as standard.

Types 1 to 7 inclusive can be built in any combination of types. The span remains constant at 7' 2" (2.184m). Corner panels are currently manufactured with a plain edge, not with the aggregate finished edge as shown overleaf.
